    Excavations by the SCA have revealed the possible of Roman wells, as well as several limestone blocks. A red granite block with an inscription of Nectanebo I has also been found at the site, although further details are unavailable.

 

The usual Delta threats apply to this small site: a high water table, expanding agricultural activities and urban encroachment as the nearby village continues to grow and expand. Part of the site has been ceded to the local authorities.
