The minaret is the only part remaining of the old mosque of Sadat Quraysh in the town of Bilbays. It was constructed in 1002 A.H. /1593 AD. (the reign of Sultan Murad III). The date of 1350 A.H. on the left side of the entrance suggests that it was restored in the reign of King Fu’ad.
