OTHER NAMES: Magdola, Magdela, Mayouu La, Hosoun

A mudbrick and limestone temple dating to the Ptolemaic period was briefly excavated here at the beginning of the 20th century, but very little remains today. A Late Roman church has also been located on the site, as well as human and animal burials, a water reservoir and the possible remains of an agora. There are many sand dunes in the area that could eventually cover the site completely.
