Tall al-Baraya

   This small site on the ancient Pelusiac branch of the Nile has not been excavated although the archaeological remains suggest a Late Period and Graeco-Roman date. The area of the site is drastically shrinking and it is threatened by the surrounding fish farms, urban construction and the high water table; threats common throughout the Delta.
